Leo – This Blog Is Just for You
Please note: this is a light-hearted, generalized look at Leo energy through the lens of astrology and crystals. It’s all for the love and fun of it! Of course, there's far more to a person than just their star sign — so take what resonates and leave the rest.
Leo – July 23 to August 22 . These dates can shift slightly depending on the year and time zone, so if someone is born right on the cusp, they can choose what they want to be. This blog can apply to people with their moon in Leo or the rising sign/ascendant in Leo.
Oh Leo, we love you so much.
You are adored — truly. People close to you, and even those who only know you a little, often hold warm, fond thoughts about you. How could they not? You’re ruled by the sun itself — warm, bright, radiant — and people are naturally drawn to your glow.
You’ve got that beautiful sense of leadership, and I don’t mean the bossy kind. You listen. You make people feel seen and valued. You’re someone who can bring people together and assign them to the right task with grace and purpose. A natural encourager.
But here’s a gentle reminder: try not to be a people pleaser. Don’t let others take advantage of your generosity, and please don’t take every comment to heart. Some people are..well, who knows that’s their problem — and that’s their problem, not yours. Keep shining. Surround yourself with your true tribe and stand in your light, because, dear Leo, you are the sun.
Crystals for Leo Energy
These aren’t your usual crystal picks from a textbook — they’ve been chosen intuitively to support your Leo journey. If they don’t call to you, that’s absolutely fine. Go with what lights you up.
☀ Citrine
If there were a crystal that summed you up, it might just be Citrine. Bright, cheerful, sunny, and full of joy — Citrine doesn’t hold onto negativity, and neither should you. It lifts your spirits, boosts confidence, and reminds you of your natural radiance. A stone that helps you stay in your power and shine bright without apology.
🌊 Fossilised Coral
This one might seem a little unexpected, but it’s here to offer something powerful — perspective. Fossilised coral brings gentle grounding and encourages you to pause and look at things differently. Not to dim your sparkle, but to help you reflect and see the bigger picture. It helps you grow wiser without losing your warmth.
🌌 Trolleite
A rarer stone, just like your unique spark. Trolleite has a calm, cool energy that helps you rest and reset — especially important if you’re a go-go-go Leo. It supports meditation and reflection, reminding you that even the brightest lights need to recharge. Let it help you slow down when you need to catch your breath.
🐅 Tiger’s Eye (All of Them!)
A classic for Leo, but still worth talking about. We’re not just including the golden one — we’re talking Blue Tiger’s Eye (calming and intuitive), Red Tiger’s Eye (energising and passionate), classic Gold (confidence and strength), and even Tiger Iron (a powerful grounding combo). These stones remind you to stay centred while still walking proudly in your light.
Dear Leo, you are here to shine — to lead, to love, and to lift others up. But don’t forget to keep some of that golden light for yourself. Whether you’re drawn to Citrine’s joy or Trolleite’s calm, let your crystals support your bold, generous heart.
A Little Note from Me
Please note, I’m not a professional astrologer — I just read way too many astrology books as a teenager. (Like, definitely on the unhealthy obsession scale.) These days, if you ask me about your star sign, I’ll probably just tell you to read a book.
Astrology, for me, is more of a light-hearted passion. It’s fun, reflective, and sometimes surprisingly accurate — but it’s not the be-all and end-all of life. Crystals are more my area of experience, and I truly believe that no matter what any book says, you should always go with what you feel drawn to.
These blogs are just me blending all twelve star signs with my knowledge of crystals — a bit of fun, a bit of wisdom, and hopefully a bit of insight for you too.
If you’re keen to dive deeper into astrology, I highly recommend visiting a local astrologer. It's important to have your birth chart done using the correct hemisphere (especially here in the Southern Hemisphere, where things can flip on their head). A good astrologer will make it all feel much more real and relatable.
Also, if you’re looking for a great read, Linda Goodman’s books are some of my absolute favourites. You can still find new copies, but there are heaps floating around second-hand — just watch the spin of the book if it’s been well-thumbed! Keep in mind that many astrology books get re-edited or revised to fit the times, so check which version you’re reading.
