Dumortierite is a rare aluminum boro-silicate mineral, typically found in massive or fibrous forms and often displaying a deep blue to violet hue, though it can also occur in shades of brown, green, or pink. Its chemical formula is Al₇BO₃(SiO₄)₃O₃, and it crystallizes in the orthorhombic system. It is commonly found in high-temperature aluminum-rich metamorphic rocks and is often associated with quartz. From a metaphysical perspective, Dumortierite is considered a stone of patience, mental discipline, and enhanced intellectual ability.
