Muscovite is a silicate mineral belonging to the mica group, known for its shimmering, sheet-like appearance and pearly to vitreous lustre. Its chemical formula is KAl₂(AlSi₃O₁₀)(OH)₂, and it forms in thin, flexible layers that can be split into transparent sheets. Muscovite commonly occurs in granites, pegmatites, and metamorphic rocks, and can range in colour from silvery-white to green, yellow, or even pinkish tones. 

Metaphysically, Muscovite is considered a stone of insight, clarity, and spiritual growth. It is believed to enhance intuition and psychic abilities while supporting emotional healing and self-reflection. Many use Muscovite during meditation to access higher guidance, ease anxiety, and encourage a more positive, reflective mindset. Its mirror-like quality symbolises self-awareness and helps illuminate the truth within.

Lepidolite is a lithium-bearing mica mineral, often recognized by its lilac, lavender and purple colouring and pearly to sparkly appearance. As a natural mineral, variations in colour, pattern, texture and inclusions are all part of its character.

In crystal traditions, Lepidolite is often associated with calm, emotional balance, relaxation, and the ability to navigate periods of change. The dove is also traditionally a symbol of peace, love and hope, making this carving a lovely piece for a crystal collection, peaceful space or meaningful gift.
