Carnelian is a beautiful variety of chalcedony, loved for its warm shades of orange, red, amber and rusty brown. Its distinctive colouring comes from iron oxides within the stone, with individual pieces ranging from soft translucent orange through to rich, fiery reds. Each piece is naturally unique, making Carnelian a striking addition to any crystal collection.
Metaphysically, Carnelian is associated with motivation, confidence, creativity and vitality. Often considered a stone of action and personal power, it is believed to encourage courage, enthusiasm and the confidence to move forward with new ideas or goals.
