Thulite is a striking pink variety of the mineral zoisite, composed primarily of calcium aluminum silicate. Its vivid rosy hue comes from the presence of manganese, and it is typically found in Norway, where it was first discovered and named after the mythical land of Thule. Thulite has a hardness of around 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale, making it suitable for jewelry and carving.
