Blue Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral (CaCO₃) known for its soft, soothing shades of sky to pale ocean blue, often with a waxy or fibrous appearance. Like other calcites, it has a Mohs hardness of 3 and forms in rhombohedral crystal systems. Scientifically, its gentle colour is usually due to trace mineral inclusions.
