Window Selenite or Clear Selenite is a translucent variety of gypsum, composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate (CaSO₄·2H₂O). It forms in long striated blades, and is known for its softness—ranking only 2 on the Mohs scale. Selenite should never be cleansed with water as it may weaken the structure. 

Metaphysically, Clear Selenite is considered one of the most powerful cleansing crystals. It's believed to clear stagnant energy, purify auras, and create a protective energetic shield.
