Tabular Quartz, often called “Tabby Quartz,” is a naturally occurring variety of quartz crystal that forms in flat, plate-like shapes due to interruptions in its growth process. Scientifically, these thin, wide crystals grow when the crystal lattice extends more in two directions than in the third, creating that distinctive flat structure. You’ll often see striations (fine lines) running across their faces, a hallmark of quartz. Metaphysically, Tabby Quartz is believed to act as a bridge—connecting the spiritual and physical, or even linking you to other realms. Many people use it to enhance communication, especially in meditation or energy healing, as it’s thought to carry a strong, clarifying energy that flows smoothly between chakras.
