Green Fluorite is a beautiful variety of fluorite, a calcium fluoride mineral known for its glassy lustre and fresh green colouring, ranging from pale mint to deeper emerald tones. It forms in the cubic crystal system and has perfect cleavage. The name Fluorite comes from the Latin fluere, meaning “to flow”, referring to its historic use in metal smelting.
