Red Capped Amethyst is a striking variety of amethyst where a natural layer of hematite or iron oxide forms over the crystal tips, creating rich red to rusty orange caps above the familiar violet quartz. Scientifically, this occurs when iron-rich solutions coat the amethyst during its final stages of growth, giving it its distinctive two-tone appearance. Metaphysically, Red Capped Amethyst blends the grounding strength of hematite with the spiritual clarity of amethyst. It’s said to enhance courage, vitality, and spiritual awareness—helping you stay centred while deepening your intuitive connection.
