Fossil Discovery Box - Set of 4 Genuine Fossils
A beautiful starter set for fossil lovers, young explorers, geology fans, or anyone who appreciates ancient natural history. Each box includes four real fossils, each millions of years old, carefully selected for interest, texture, and visual appeal.
There is also an information sheet about each Fossil.
1. Crinoid Fossils – “Sea Lilies” (Erfoud, Morocco)
Crinoids, often called sea lilies, are elegant marine animals that lived on the seafloor and resembled underwater flowers. These fossils date back around 450 million years to the Ordovician period, making them among the oldest fossils available to collectors. The stem segments show natural banding and patterns, each one unique. Sourced from Erfoud, Morocco, a world-renowned fossil region.
2. Gastropod Fossil
These ancient sea snail shells have been replaced by agate over millions of years, preserving the spiral shape while filling it with gemstone-like colour and pattern. The fossilisation process happens when silica-rich water gradually replaces the shell material, creating a natural work of art. A beautiful mix of geology and palaeontology in one piece.
3. Fossil Brachiopod (Rhynchonellida)
Brachiopods may resemble clams, but they are an entirely different family of marine life, now mostly extinct. Dating back hundreds of millions of years, these fossils often show stunning ribbed shells with perfect symmetry. A classic fossil type found in many museum collections.
4. Shark Tooth Fossil – Florida, USA
Shark teeth are one of the most iconic fossils—tough, durable, and full of history. These teeth were shed by ancient sharks and slowly fossilised in coastal sands. Most are millions of years old, dating from the Miocene to the Cretaceous periods. Made of hydroxyapatite, they are incredibly well-preserved and make a favourite piece for both adults and kids.
🪨 Each fossil is authentic, naturally formed, and may vary slightly in size, shape, and colour.
💰 Some sets may vary in fossil type or value, reflected in the price.
