Orthoceras is an extinct genus of marine cephalopods that lived around 400 million years ago during the Ordovician period. Their fossilized shells, typically long and conical with internal chambers, are commonly found in black limestone and are composed primarily of calcite. These ancient creatures are related to modern squids and nautiluses, and their fossils are often found in Morocco and other parts of the world. Metaphysically, Orthoceras is known for grounding energy and connecting one to Earth’s ancient wisdom.
