Fossil Brachiopod (Rhynchonellida) Lot

Sold as one lot with all 5 fossils as per photo.

Please refer to photo for size.

Brachiopods are ancient marine shellfish that lived hundreds of millions of years ago. Although they resemble clams, they belong to a completely different group of animals. Their shells are unequal in size but symmetrical down the middle. Rhynchonellida are especially known for their ribbed, angular shells, often beautifully preserved in limestone and shale.
