Pink Heulandite is a delicate and rare member of the zeolite group, a hydrated calcium and sodium aluminosilicate with the formula (Ca,Na)₂-₃Al₃(Al,Si)₂Si₁₃O₃₆·12H₂O. It typically forms in radiating clusters or tabular crystals, often found within basalt cavities. Its soft pink colouring is due to trace minerals and varies from pale blush to a deeper rose, depending on the locality—often sourced from India or the United States. With a Mohs hardness of about 3.5 to 4, it is relatively soft and requires careful handling.
