Feldspar is a large group of rock-forming silicate minerals containing varying amounts of potassium, sodium and calcium. It is one of the most abundant mineral groups in Earth’s crust and is a major component of rocks such as granite. Feldspar varieties include Moonstone, Sunstone, Labradorite, Amazonite and Orthoclase, and they generally have a hardness of around 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale. Metaphysically, Feldspar is associated with self-awareness, creativity and personal growth. It is believed to encourage new perspectives, help release old patterns and support you through periods of change, with individual Feldspar varieties having their own additional metaphysical properties.
