Smoky Quartz, also spelt Smokey Quartz, is a beautiful and highly grounding variety of quartz, ranging in colour from translucent smoky grey to deep brown and almost black. Its distinctive colour develops through natural radiation within the surrounding rocks, which alters the crystal's internal structure.
In the metaphysical world, Smoky Quartz is highly regarded for its grounding and protective properties. It is believed to help absorb and release negative energy, encourage emotional balance, ease stress and promote a sense of stability and calm.
