Dioptase is a vivid emerald-green mineral composed of copper cyclosilicate, often found in well-formed prismatic crystals with a brilliant, glassy luster. Scientifically, its intense coloration is due to its high copper content, and it typically forms in oxidized copper deposits. Though visually similar to emerald, Dioptase is much softer, making it more suitable for display and energy work than everyday wear.
